Lizards
Lizards have fascinated me since childhood. I kept them as pets from an early age. Forty years ago, before the world’s governments ganged up on junior herpetologists, I may have smuggled back to the continent a box of anoles that I’d spent an adventurous week nabbing, netless, in Puerto Rico; and, yes, a few may have escaped on the plane because I had to look, just had to. My poor mother. Memories of that incident are hazy and lack conviction. These days I take photos, which saves the hassle of raising victuals: crickets, worms, and such.
Lenses include my iphone camera (the cornered young iguana), the Lensbaby Velvet 28 set to macro (the anole’s face), Lomography’s Naiad for Neptune, the Lomo Daguerrotype, and other lenses as I happen to have them when lizards come into view.
